Kevin Nunn

Mr. Nunn began his career in 1982 as a city planner for The South Bronx  with the New York City Division of Real Property (DRP).

In 1988, he became Deputy Director of Planning and Development in the Bronx Borough President’s Office.

In 1994, Mr. Nunn became President of The Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation (BOEDC), the not-for-profit corporation overseeing the planning and implementation of the Bronx Empowerment Zone a large federal program targeted to improving economic conditions in The South Bronx.  BOED also managed revolving loan funds, an SBA 504 Certified Lending Company and The Bronx Tourism Council.  During his tenure at BOEDC, Mr. Nunn also served as Economic Development Director to Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer.

 

In 1998, Mr. Nunn founded the Bridgeport Economic Resource Center, a not-for-profit corporation designed to provide business retention, recruitment and marketing services to the Greater Bridgeport area.  

In September of 2011, Mr. Nunn became the Executive Director of the White Plains Business Improvement District a self-taxing district formed to improve the general business climate and appearance of downtown White Plains.  BID services include marketing and promotion, special events, streetscape improvements, sidewalk cleaning and member advocacy.
