June 19: Summer SOULstice Concert

June 19, 5pm - 9pm

Court Street at Main Street

Approaching the longest day of the year, the White Plains BID and Doug Panero Presents an after-work concert with delicious food and drink, and two can’t-miss touring bands. Free music, rain or shine; $5 wristband for ages 21+ to drink alcohol outside.

Kat Wright

For Kat Wright and her stellar band it starts with Soul. Her wide range spans sultry, delicate and heartbreaking, to the powerful, gritty and funky. NPR once described Kat as "a young Bonnie Raitt meets Amy Winehouse." As she parlayed her regional fan base into a national audience, this alluring songstress takes her act to new heights with the rockin' By My Side, her 2016 debut release. Kat's band, by her side on June 19, is Shane Hardiman on the keys, Bob Wagner on guitar, Josh Weinstein on bass plus a three piece horn section and drums.

The Rad Trads

Four lead vocalists, any one of whom with the chops to lead his own band, take turns with the killer grooves and punk-rock passion coursing through this music, burnished through world tours including opening for the likes of Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal and Lake Street Dive. The Rad Trads are Patrick Sargent (Saxophones); Michael Fatum (Trumpet); Alden Harris-McCoy (Guitar); "Big Red" Mike Harlen (Bass); John Fatum (Drums).

The Rad Trads have the insouciant charm of the pre-invasion Beatles, if the Beatles had been led by Dr. John and sung about hungover mornings instead of Hard Days Nights.”  — Cascade Blues Association
