Westchester County Executive Presents Local Business Owner with Certificate During Pop-Up Launch in White Plains, May 26, 2021


(White Plains, NY) – Westchester County Executive George Latimer presented Loola Doola Boutique owner Lauren Morris a certificate of recognition as she opened her doors on 187 Martine Avenue in White Plains. Part of “The Pop-Up,” the boutique will allow small businesses, online retailers and innovative concepts to take on brick and mortar space.

New hotel opens it doors in downtown White Plains

A new hotel is in the process of a phased opening at 3 Renaissance Square in downtown White Plains, where the Ritz-Carlton hotel had been located.


The new hotel is The Opus, Westchester, an Autograph Collection hotel. It’s managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, which operates more than 100 hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada.

There's a hot new way to support restaurants in White Plains: Take part in "Wing Weeks," which began Sunday.


The idea is for fans to sample wings at their favorite restaurants and then vote on their favorites. Wing Weeks runs through May 8. Sixteen restaurants, ranging from Wolf and Warrior Brewing to the Banh Mi Shop will participate. Find the entire list at
